Hey, I am Beatriz Julião, Into’s trainee for the autumn semester of 2023!
In September of 2021, I moved from the sunny Portuguese coast to the cool landscapes of Finland. I was quite curious to find out what kept Finland gaining the title of the happiest country in the world for the sixth time in a row. And I have to say, I am very glad that I decided to dig into it and immerse myself in the experience. Therefore, here I am in Seinäjoki, rocking my 3rd year of studies at SeAMK, pursuing my bachelor’s in international business administration.
I first met Into Seinäjoki and their activities through an event organized by my university, during my freshman year. After the networking phase of the event, I got a contact from the company and kept it with me. Fast forward one year and it came the time to search for an internship position that would complement my studies in the best possible way. So, it was time to pick up the business card I saved and submit an open application. In the span of a couple of days, I received an invitation for an interview and then an offer for a trainee position.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to spend the next 4 months interning at Into. And that is not all! I will be writing my bachelor’s thesis, through close collaboration with the company.
After just one week, I have gotten to meet the entire team, for whom I am grateful for receiving me with open arms. I am happy to be immersed in a company with such a positive attitude and working culture. And I am looking forward to participating in the different tasks and events that are coming up!
This position gives me the versatility I need to learn more about the different practices in the business world. Most importantly, it gives me an environment in which I can grow, learn, and bring my own contribution through hands-on experiences.
